St. Herman Orthodox Church Celebrates St. Thomas Sunday - 05/09/2021

During the Paschal Liturgy of St. Thomas Sunday (May 9, 2021), Archpriest John Perich (Pastor) offered prayers of thanks and praise for all the Mothers, Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers, God Mothers, Sisters, Aunts & daughters of the Parish. Prayers of remembrance were also offered for the departed Mothers. May their Memory be Eternal!

Following the Paschal Liturgy, Fr. John led the faithful of St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church in Glen Mills, PA in a Cross Procession around the extieror of the Church, pausing at the four corners of the Church and reading the four prescribed Gospels; beginning with Matthew 28: 1-20, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-12 and John 20:1-10, after which is exclaimed, "Let us pray to the Lord. Let us all say! The choir then responding,"Lord Have Mercy"...in a special chant to which the priest censes the people then blesses the four corners of the Church and the faithful while exclaiming in a loud voice Christ is Risen! Following this, the clergy and the faithful returned into the Church for the conclusion of the Paschal Celebration.

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
