St. Herman of Alaska in Gradyville, PA Supports the Military!

A 2014 Advent Outreach Project quickly and overwhelming had St. Herman of Alaska parishioners generously answer to "their" call of duty! Under the direction of Fr. John Perich, the Outreach Committee of  St Herman's gathered enough dried fruit/nuts, candy, Burt's Bee lip balm, Cliff and other bars, Slim Jims, Beef Jerky and foot/hand/body warmers (73 of them) to remember, thank, and to send to two  Army soldier platoons located in Afghanistan. Christmas cards, in which  parishioners warmly wrote messages, and Nativity icons were tucked in between all of the treats. Without the quick response and generous monetary, food and other items donated by parishioners the soldiers would not be able to receive the packages before Christmas.
May God Bless Our troops during this Nativity season and always
