Metropolitan TIKHON leads Thanksgiving Service - 11/21/2012
On Wednesday, November 21st , Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church (Harrisburg, PA) hosted the Orthodox parishes of greater Harrisburg for their annual service of Thanksgiving. The service is held in each of the participating parishes on a rotating basis. His Beatitude, Metropolitan TIKHON has led our celebrations over the last four years, and we were especially joyful to greet him this year as the recently elevated primate of the Orthodox Church in America. Also participating in this years celebration of the Akathist "Glory to God for All Things" were clergy and faithful from Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral (GOA), St. Nicholas Orthodox Church (SER), Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission (OCA), and Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church (OCA). We continue to be thankful to Almighty God for His many blessings, and pray that we will be able to continue to strive to live a life worthy of His rich gifts and consolations!(8 images)
